Islamabad (NNI): Huawei, the world's largest telecom and mobile maker company, will set up its headquarters for South Asia in Pakistan. This was announced by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on its social media page. It was reported that this investment of $ 100 million will create job opportunities in Pakistan. The post said that progress will open the way for Pakistan to develop in the world of technology. In July this year, Oppo Mobiles, a major Chinese smartphone maker, had set up a plant in Pakistan.
Expressing keen interest, the company's CEO George Long met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Timur Saleem Jhagra and informed him of his intention to set up an OPPO mobile plant in KPK. According to the CEO of OOp Mobiles, the production of mobile phones in Pakistan will not only provide good quality smartphones to the consumers and will also provide employment to 4,000 people. Opo appreciated the idea of investing in them and assured them of full support from the government.
